Friendship
My friend and I have maintained our friendship since we were both 12 years old. Our children now are great friends and it is exciting to see that friendship enter into another generation. True friends are truely blessings from God.

A Fun Treat
We had grahams, marshmallows, and Hershey candy bars. It is too hot to make a fire outdoors so we decided to make smores indoors.
A candle worked just fine and we found flat marshmallows especially for smores. They were not as messy but I think we liked the regular ones better. They are more goey.
Daddy demonstrates the first one.
From the smiles, I think everyone enjoyed them.

Fun with Family
We love spending time with our families. The children always enjoy time with their cousins, grandparents, aunts and uncles. Here are a few glimpses of those times.

My Kitchen Helper
My little one loves to help in the kitchen, especially if I am making something sweet. I love her enthusiasm. She was very proud of her cupcakes. They were delicious. I think her sweetness and happiness about making them made them even sweeter. We could definitely taste the love.

Fun at Pawpaw and Nana's House
We love to visit with the grandparents. This particular day my dad had a surprise for the children. They got a ride in his bucket truck that he was using to help clear some of the tornado debris. This was lots more fun than toys and made a wonderful memory. They never know what new adventure Pawpaw may have for them.

Snapshots of the Summer
I have been neglecting our blog over the past few months. We got sidetracked by a few projects and I have gotten out of the habit of a regular blog post. Hopefully we will get back on track this week. Here are a few things we have been busy with.
A visit to the McWane Center. Everyone enjoyed the fish and it is a wonderful place for the whole family. There is something for everyone even our youngest.

Our sweet Grace lost her two front teeth.
Our sweet girl is always hunting for lady bugs and usually finds a few. They also love when Daddy brings home a box for them. This lasted about 4 weeks but provided lots of fun.
This is just a glimpse of our summer but the most important part is building relationships with each other and
God. I think we are closer now than when we began and we have definitely caught glimpses of His grace.
